THE BARATANI PEAK (Mountain of lovers) edit
The peak is beautiful from the top of Botswana, Mont Otse, we can see Gaborone (50 Km away), the South African border (20km) and the huge Kakahari Plateau.[1]
The “Baratani” peak (Mountain of Lovers in setswana), the first “high” rocky hill when you come from Gaborone,1489m high, is known to kill those who dare climb on top : A couple of lovers never came back after they left the village to hide on top of the mountain, they vanished while they were making love on top of the hill !!…Another man has disappeared several years late.
