editThe temple is Bajra yogini and the statue of god is red in color inside the temple. The day is celebrated on full moon day. On the first day of Mohani Nakha, generally known as Dashain holds significant role in festivals of Nepal where Nal Swa known as Barley seedlings is harvested. The largest ceremony where all family members have feats together is known as Kuchivhaya. People wear 2 types of thread on neck red and white which is called Khokha in native newari language.
The festival gatha muga is also celebrated by newar communities. On this day specially a metal ring is worn as a symbol to protect from demons.
