Plarium Global Ltd. — is an international entertainment company developing browser, mobile, and social games. Founded in 2009, Plarium is currently employing more than 500 gaming industry professionals across 3 studios based in Tel-Aviv, Israel and Kharkov and Simferopol, Ukraine. Plarium is best known for its flagship games Stormfall: Age of War, Total Domination, Pirates: Tides of Fortune, and Soldiers, Inc. Plarium has launched its standalone game portal, Plarium.com, which hosts company's most popular browser-based massive multiplayer online role playing games. Plarium games are also available on social networks VKontakte, Facebook, Odnoklassniki, and MoyMir. The games are entirely localized in 11 languages and are being played by more than 90 million players from 150 countries worldwide.

History

Poker Shark was the first successful project by Plarium. After its launch in 2009, the game quickly grew popular on the Russian social networks, and was later released on iOS. In 2010, Plarium launched Farmandia; the first ever 3D social game. Zootopia and DinoPark were also launched in 2010.

However, it was the breakthrough MMO strategy Total Domination that helped Plarium become popular worldwide[1]. Total Domination launched in February 2011, being among the first hardcore social games, it was one of the projects that marked the end of mid-core era social games and brought social hardcore strategies to a new level.

Players were offered a stand-alone multilingual browser version of strategy game Total Domination in 2011.

Pirates: Tides of Fortune was launched in 2012, and was soon rated #1 among Russian social games.[2] In the first 5 weeks after its release, the game drew over 3,000,000 active players. The game is a success on Facebook as well with more than 115,000 Facebook users enjoying Pirates - Tides of Fortune daily.[3]

In September 2012 Plariumpresented a new social war strategy Stormfall - Age of War.[4] The game was the next in a series of widely popular social strategies and scored high ratings from users and the media. [5] In 2013 Stormfall - Age of War was amongst the first games to be featured on the Russian gaming portal: games.mail.ru.

In December 2012 Plarium launched Total Domination- Reborn in Russia and Australia. In April 2013 the game was released worldwide and became the first of Plarium’s strategy platforms for iOS to ever score 8 Top Grossing hits amongst the games for iPhone and iPad.

Soldiers Inc. was launched in 2013[6] with enormous popularity earning it a listing amongst the Best Facebook Games for 2013. [7]

  • Total Domination is one of the first social games to be entirely voiced by professional actors. Along with rich 3D graphics, live voiceover became a trademark of Plarium games.
  • Music for Soldiers Inc. and the soundtrack for Total Domination: Reborn trailers were composed by famous video game, TV and film score composer Jesper Kyd.
  • Total Domination won the Best Online Browser Strategy award from Perpetuum MOB in 2012.[8]
  • Pirates: Tides of Fortune is in "Pirate English."
  • Plarium’s game unit models are widely acclaimed and received multiple awards from CGhub and render.ru, and are featured in the Zbrush hall of fame.[9]
  • In December 2012, Total Domination scored 100/100 in a Facebook Game Review. [10]
