Allocated in the Center of Namibia, in the Otjozondjupa Region is the beautiful town called Grootfontein, with humble and welcoming people that are always filled with joy and warm hearts. In 1964, GROOTFONTEIN SECONDARY SCHOOL(GSS) was founded in Grootfontein to educate and uplift the academic standard of students and with the motto "skyn en verlig".. It is the oldest school thus the pride and joy of Grootfontein with the total of 457 pupils.

ACADEMICS

GSS is a Public Secondary School that consists of Junior Secondary Catering for Grade 8-10 and Senior secondary catering for Grade 11 and 12. The school is very dynamic as it offers a wide range of subjects and languages to cater for all demographics and subject preferences. After the successful completion of grade 10, learners are presented with a Junior Senior Certificate (JSC) and a Namibian Senior Secondary Certificate upon grade 12 completion in either International General Certificate of Secondary Education(IGCSE) or Higher International General Certificate of Secondary Education(HIGCSE)

Affordable hostel facilities with separate domes for males and females respectively. The hostel is very clean and hygienic and the supply the learners with healthy food that contains all required nutrient and vitamins.
