My name is Mauro Murzi. I'm an Italian historian and philosopher of science. From 1980 I studied philosophy, mathematics and physics at the University of Rome La Sapienza. In 1984 I was awarded the Master's Degree in Philosophy with a dissertation on mathematical logic. In 1987 I received the Habilitation as a teacher of philosophy. In 1988 I qualified as EDP programmer and analyst. Since 1997 I'm an editor of the Italian e-journal Notiziario di informatica, with the primary responsibility concerning history and philosophy of computing. Since 1998 I'm member of Società Filosofica Italiana (Italian Philosophical Society).
My interest about philosophy of science rose when I was studying in secondary school, and grew during my studies at University of Rome. My philosophical attitude is greatly influenced by Hans Reichenbach's philosophy of physics. I admire his competence in studying philosophical implications of physics, his scientific seriousness and physical-mathematical skill, his deep knowledge of modern physics.
