Full disclosure: I am the currently a junior officer at the Royal Westminster Regiment, a Primary Reserve light infantry unit in the Canadian Army. I am the unit public affairs representative, and also a historian. I joined here to contribute to articles on Canadian and British Columbian history, military history, and military uniforms and equipment.
Specific to my unit and edits I make to the Wiki page on the Royal Westminster Regiment: I am eager to contribute to the article about the regiment I belong to, as it has limited information and I have access to unit archives and other documents that may be relevant and otherwise to accessible or in public domain. I have also studied and written on the unit history and related local history matters. I am not paid by the regiment to edit information and despite my position, my role here is as a private citizen.
