Simbra Cattle

simbra cattle are a mixture of brahman and simmental. It started in the late 1960 when farmers experimented by combining simmental and brahman. the simmental and the brahman have diffrerent characteristics and if their combined they have a good outcome, for instance the simmental always produces enough milk for its calf, grows rapidly and is very fertile but not insect tolerant. The brahman is insect tolerent, it calves with ease and lives longer.

The simbra is also doing good in the market as a simbra bull called dollar from Rumba Simbra Stud was sold for N$135 000.
