Profile of Dr. Muhammad Ahmad Adjunct Professor of Arabic (TAFL) Dr. Muhammad Ahmad has had a distinguished career promoting and developing the teaching of Arabic as a foreign language at state, and national levels. A native of Ghana trained and received his PhD in Arabic and Islamic Studies in 2009 at the Al-Imam Al-Ouzai University of Lebanon. He is currently a Graduate Student at Hartford Seminary, CT. He taught Arabic and Islamic Studies in the Islamic Schools in Kumasi, Ghana. He is a Visiting Adjunct Professor of Arabic (TAFL) at Community College of Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Muhammad is also Regional Director of the Al-Imam Al-Ouzai University of Lebanon Distance Learning Center of West Africa, in Collaboration with his founding Institution “Usman Dan Fodio Academy of Islamic Sciences, Ghana”. Dr. Muhammad is also a member of the American Association of Teachers of Arabic (AATA), AL, American Council of the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL), VA and Modern Language Association (MLA), NY.
