A few members of the Community exercise crop farming on a small scale only for their own consupmtion. Majority inhabitants in the Fransfontein resettlement are Communal farmers.Members that do not work and only home brew a traditional beer called jabula and sell to the Community members. It is also beleived to be a norm in Community to share Food through a process known as Augu. Some Community members can sustain themselves by going to neighbors and ask for basicFood such as sugar or maize meal to prepare porridge.
