Napoleon as usual, disagrees with him and kicks him out of the farm while he gets chased out by dogs. Napoleon then starts the construction of the windmill since he would like to take all the credit. Napoleon makes the animals work hard for the construction of the windmill. The reason why all of this happened is because when Napoleon was young he always wanted to be respected have the power. Industrialization and Common Farms edit

Purging of Enemies edit

Throughout the novel, we can see moments where Napoleon expressed aggression and hatred towards other animals, but the ultimate sign of harm is that when Napoleon executes his purges. At the beginning of the novel, we see Napoleon and the other animals remove Mr. Jones from the farm. This is the first for of persecution of the enemies in the history of the novel. During a Sunday assembly, Napoleon invites animals up from the crowd and to the stage and invites them to tell their crimes to the assembly. They all express criminal acts and are brutally slaughtered for their actions. Most people are shocked and surprised at the outcome of the meeting and the actions that the dead animals had executed, but eventually they buy them. However, these excuses were made up and are just a means of Napoleon eliminating the competition that stood in his way. He kicks Snowball off of the farm and then proceeds to use the purges and the threat of Snowball as a means of asserting his dominance. The expulsion of Snowball is another means of superiority and a way of Napoleon removing the competition that he was pitted up against and removing his main enemies.
