My name is Mihir Patel, and I was born in Surat, India. I came to America when I was seven years old. I lived in Houston, Texas for three years and then moved to New Jersey. I attended Middlesex County College for two years. During Fall 2010, I transferred to New Jersey Institute of Technology as a Computer Science major and Math minor. I am also apart of Delta Epsilon Psi Fraternity Inc. Delta Epsilon Psi National South Asian Fraternity Inc was founded on October 1, 1998 at the University of Texas at Austin. Eighteen men came together sensing the urgency of a unified South Asian voice at their university. They believed that there was a lack of South Asian presence not only in the Greek community, but also at their university and their local community. With this in mind, they founded Delta Epsilon Psi on our three pillars; brotherhood, discipline and commitment. We are committed to doing a minimum of 25 hours of service per semester. We also hold several events and donate to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Windows 8, a computer operating system for desktops, laptops, netbooks, tablet PCs, and media center PCs, is set to release in October of 2012. On February 29, 2012, a consumer preview was released which allowed users to download and run the operating system. Windows 8 features the “metro-style” interface that is designed for touch screen interaction comparable to the Windows Phone. It adds support for the ARM processor architecture as well as the support of x86 microprocessors from Intel and AMD. The user interface is unique and allows the users to access the desktop like an application. Windows 8 is a whole new way of how computers will be used in the future.
