This template flags sandboxes in user space, specifically, mine. To put this template on top of a user sandbox without the boilerplate of the usual sandbox heading, type: {{User:Morgan Wick/Sandhead}}. To designate it as in use, replace the entire page contents with {{User:Morgan Wick/Sandhead|in use}}. Feel free to use "purpose|Purpose of sandbox" to give the specific purpose of your sandbox, if you have one. This page should NOT be used, itself, as a sandbox.
If you wish to open your sandbox to anyone, this template is a good choice, as long as you make clear (perhaps in the parameter) that it is open.
