Morgan Beeby received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of California, Los Angeles under the supervision of Professor Todd O. Yeates in 2007. His dissertation, titled Comparative genomics and application to specific biological systems: hyperthermophily and shell-forming proteins, used comparative genomics as the basis for contextualizing specific biological systems using the wealth of recent genomic data.
Morgan worked for a brief time in the capacity of a postdoctoral scholar for Prof. Yeates 2007-2008.
