Big Brother Repton OTT (Season 1)

Big Brother Repton OTT 1, also known as Big Brother Repton: Over-The-Top Season 1, is the spin-off version of the English reality digital series Big Brother, the first to be released exclusively on OTT platforms Reptonia and Reptonia Select. It premiered on 5 June 2034 on Repton’s online streaming service Reptonia and premium streaming service Reptonia Select, with Rachel King serving as the host of this digital-only season. The Grand Finale of the show will take place on 24 July 2034.

Production

Teaser

On May 24, 2034, Reptonia unveiled a poster featuring Rachel King as the host of this digital-exclusive season. On June 3, Reptonia released a third promo in which Rachel King revealed that the season's format would be bolder and crazier than ever before in the show's history.

Broadcast

Apart from the usual hour-long episode, viewers had access to direct 24/7 camera footage throughout the season. The show streamed from Monday to Saturday at 7 pm and on Sunday at 8 pm. The episodes were initially broadcast through the 24 Hour Live Channel at 7 pm from Monday to Saturday and at 8 pm on Sunday on the paid subscription service Reptonia Select.
The episodes were then made available for free viewing the next morning at 9 am, with a later free viewing option at 10 pm the same night, on Reptonia. The show also began to air on VoxTek late at night but was later removed from the television broadcast schedule.

House

This season marked a first in the history of Big Brother Repton, launching six weeks before the television version on the OTT platform Reptonia. The theme for the season was "Eco-Friendly," and the house decor prominently featured elements reflecting this commitment to sustainability. Notable decor included furniture made from reclaimed wood, walls adorned with living plant installations, and various upcycled pieces from past seasons.
In keeping with the eco-friendly theme, a large flamingo statue from Big Brother Repton 15's "Jungle Theme" was repurposed, along with other nostalgic elements from previous seasons. The house itself consisted of a patio, living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, garden area, confession room, dining table, swimming pool, and a special room called the "Eco-friendly Room" designed specifically for the theme.
This year, the bedroom featured bunk beds made from sustainably sourced materials, and the overall design of the house seemed to draw inspiration from a vibrant carnival atmosphere. Each aspect of the house was thoughtfully designed to showcase the beauty of eco-friendly living while providing an exciting and visually stunning backdrop for the season.

	Captaincy Task	On Day 3, the two content creators, Yasmine and Faris, were given a task by Big Brother to select one housemate each as a contender for captaincy. Yasmine opted for Mikhail, and Faris chose Adam. Both pairs were tasked with creating an entertaining 'video' in the Activity Area, behind their prop TV and Phone screen frames. The audience would then vote to decide which pairs’ content was more entertaining, and the winners would receive a reward of 2 kg of any personal ration item. Additionally, the winning creator would also secure captaincy for their partner. After the audience voted, it was Faris-Adam who emerged victorious. As a result, Faris chose to take 2 kg of chicken.

	Nominations Task	Magical Jungle On Day 4, the activity area was transformed into a magical jungle, with trees that bore fruit. All housemates were called into the Activity Area. Each housemate was supposed to nominate others for eviction, by picking a selected amount of apples from the trees. There were only 15 apples on the trees. The number of apples a housemate would choose, would correspond to the number of housemates they’d want to nominate. As Captain of the house, Adam was immune from this weeks nominations.

	Tasks	Ration Task On Day 2, Big Brother introduced the 'BB Vending Machine,' a new method for obtaining household ration. A vending machine was placed in the garden area. Whenever Big Brother played a specific sound, which sounded like items falling from a vending machine, the housemates could use their BB Currency to purchase items for their weekly ration. Every item had a varying cost. However, this system was discontinued on Day 9, along with BB Currency. Week 2	Captaincy Task	Since no eviction took place, housemates who were nominated the previous week were contenders for Week 2’s Captaincy. On Day 9, the captaincy task was set up in the garden area, which had three ramps descending from the ceiling. Whenever a bike bell sound was played, fruits would roll down these ramps. The remaining housemates had the responsibility of collecting the fruits and deciding whether to place them in Fatima, Faris, Ibrahim or Zainab’s basket. This choice was entirely up to them. Only the contenders were allowed to remove fruits from each other's baskets, and they had the responsibility of guarding their baskets. The objective of this task was to collect as many fruits as possible and secure them in their respective baskets. At the end of the task, the housemate with the highest number of fruits in their basket would be declared the Captain of this week.

	Nominations Task	The Gauntlet On Day 10, the activity area was set up as a circuit of four challenges. This task will be split into four rounds: Strength Struggle: Housemates will engage in strength competitions, such as tug-of-war and endurance tests. The loser of this round will be the second nominee. Maze Madness: Contestants will race through a complicated maze, solve riddles and puzzles to find the exit. The last housemate to reach the exit will be the third nominee. Trivia Turmoil: Housemates will answer trivia questions in a rapid-fire round. The contestant with the fewest correct answers will be the fourth nominee. Emotional Confrontation: Contestants will be confronted with personal questions and must answer honestly in front of their fellow housemates. The audience will judge whose interview they perceived as the least honest, and that contestant will be the final nominee for Week 2. Housemates who pass each round can move on, while those who fail a round will be eliminated from the task. Since Fatima is the Captain, she is exempt from participating in this task and will supervise the activity. With that power, Big Brother granted Fatima the opportunity to nominate a housemate before the task started, making them exempt from participating. Fatima chose Adam as a nominee. 	Tasks	Ration Task - Eco Fiesta On Day 9, a ration task was held. In this special task, the housemates will be divided into two teams: Team Green and Team Earth. The activity area will be transformed into an eco-friendly battleground, with various challenges designed to test the contestants' knowledge and commitment to sustainability. The challenges include: Eco-Quiz: A quiz competition on environmental facts and issues. Recycling Relay: A race to sort and recycle various materials correctly. Upcycling Art: A creative challenge to turn discarded items into beautiful, useful objects. The winning team will gain premium ration, and the team that fails will receive basic ration for the week.

	Events	On Day 12, Fatima was dethroned from the role of Captain due to sleeping during daytime hours. Big Brother immediately held a house meeting, where the housemates had to vote for a replacement Captain, excluding the nominated housemates. The housemates voted for Mikhail. This development also changed the nominations, granting Adam safety from eviction. Big Brother then allowed Mikhail to nominate a safe housemate, and he chose Fatima.
	Exits	On Day 14, Faris Omar was evicted after facing the public vote.
Week 3	Captaincy Task	On Day 16, the captaincy task took place. Since Mikhail had only been the Captain for 2 days, the housemates were given a choice. Either dethrone Mikhail, and let another captaincy task happen, or let Mikhail’s reign to continue.

	Nominations Task	On Day 17, nominations took place in the activity area. A wheel, which had the names of each housemate (except Mikhail), was spun twice, and it landed on Fatima and Zainab. Fatima and Zainab were granted safety from the nominations, and were given the power to choose between two housemates to nominate for eviction. Pairs were decided by the wheel as well. Each pair of housemates provided reasons for why one individual deserved to be safe. After both housemates gave their statements, Fatima and Zainab mutually decided to save one housemate and nominate the other. At the end, Mikhail either approved their decision or made changes to it. The nominated housemates were then doused in mud by Mikhail. Apart from these nominations, one housemate was nominated by the audience. 	Nominations	Ibrahim, Maryam, Moosa and Nia were nominated for third-week eviction.
	Tasks	Toy Factory On Day 19, the garden area was transformed into a Toy Factory for the ration task. The housemates were separated into two teams. Each team had to create sock puppets using the available thread and needle at their workstations. During each round, the first siren sound indicated that wool, buttons, and socks were about to be sent into the house through a ramp, and puppet creation had to be paused. When the second siren sound played, only two members from each team were allowed to take as many supplies as needed. Once the supplies were taken, puppet creation could resume. Only the chosen team members could work behind the workstation to create puppets, while the rest had to wait. Adam and Ibrahim, were assigned as quality-assurance managers for the opposing teams. Once one side created 10 puppets, the quality-assurance manager of the opposite team had to either 'Reject' or 'Approve' the puppets, providing a reason for any rejections. The approved and rejected puppets of each team were placed into separate boxes labelled 'Approved' and 'Rejected.' At the end of the task, the team with the most approved sock puppets would win the challenge and receive Premium Ration and the privilege of not having to do any household duties for the week. Conversely, the losing team would receive a basic ration and be responsible for performing the household duties for the week. As the Captain, Mikhail was supervising the task.

Big Brother Repton Season 9 is the ninth season of the English-language reality-TV series, Big Brother Repton. It aired on Repton+ from 5th July 2033 to 13th October 2033. Steven Lupton hosted the show for the first time. This seasons’ TRP was the highest of all Big Brother Reptons, the Grand Premiere gaining over 400M views and the Grand Finale garnering 950M views

Production

Casting

This time, Big Brother Repton released two videos of the housemates 10 days prior to airing of the housemates before entering the house. In that video they were masked. The hashtag “#BBR9HousemateFirstLook” was captioned under it. The housemates in the video were later revealed to be Radu Pop and Miriam Al Nowais.

Development

There was a launch event where previous host Gillian Hammond was present alongside Season 5 winner Tom Forster and current host Steven Lupton. This was held on 2nd July 2033.

Eye Logo

This time the eye logo was similar to season 7’s eye, with navy blue and yellow colours being the most visible.

House

This season, the house was themed to be a School. There was one kitchen, a living area, a backyard, one powder room, 4 bedrooms, and one HoHs’ Bedroom. This time the HoH’s bedroom had a private bathroom, a jacuzzi and a snack bar, only the Head of Household could use. There was also the Dungeon of Detention, used for punishments, located hanging over the swimming pool.

If they release the button, they will be eliminated from the competition. The last Houseguest remaining in the competition will become the new Head of Household.

Week 5	Head of Household Task	Housemate Soup Moosa, Miriam, Sam, Ioannis, Ruby and Farida must sit in a bath tub filled with water. The rest of the housemates must take buckets filled with various disgusting items and dump them into the tub of the Housemates they don’t want to make the HoH. The last Housemate sitting in the tub will become the new Head of Household.

	Nominations	BB Fishery Moosa, Sam, Ioannis, Ibrahim and Wadeed each have their own pools and there are 10 fishes in a pool. Each contender has to clean their pools and put their fishes in someone else's pool, at the end of the task, the boy which has least fishes in his pool will win the task and others will be nominated. Girls will have their own fish baskets and when the ship bell rings, two girls will come forward and put their fishes in the guy's pool whom they want to nominate. As Farida is the HoH, she will get two fish baskets and she will have to finish both baskets in one pool only. Farida will be the supervisor of the task and has to make sure that there are no fishes out of the pool at the end of the task.

Week 6	Head of Household Task	Guide and Tourist On hearing the buzzer, the contestants will be asked to take the form of a mannequin except for Farida, since she is the guide for the activity. Farida as a guide has to take two housemates on a house tour and while the tour is ongoing, she has to take the two selected inmates to every mannequin one by one. Later, Farida will take the two chosen contestants in the activity room. In the activity room, the contestants will have to tell names of three housemates with reason on who and why they think should be out of captainship. The last housemate remaining will become the new captain.

Both teams have a stall where they will cook and sell. Two members from both the teams will be cooks, you have to use sauces in three dishes. When the doorbell rings, the guests will enter and you will have to serve them the food. If they like it, the team will win ration.

	Head of Household Task	The backyard was turned into an office. Ex- Head of Households, Moosa, Farida, Marina and Wadeed were the heads and they were seated in the canopy where they had a telephone. Housemates were in the garden, in their prop cabins. Every round, the heads would call two employees/housemates, and inform them, “You are fired”. At the end of every round, heads must cross the fired housemates image. At the end of the task, the housemate with no stamp will win Head of Household.

	Tasks	Ration Task All housemates except Sam participated during this task. Each round started when the buzzer sound was played. The first housemate to catch it, gets an opportunity to take 5 items from the ration. Housemates mustn’t let the ball fall on the ground, otherwise the round would be cancelled.

Week 8	Head of Household Task	Captaincy Medallion Keisha, Moosa and Sidra will be locked in jail separately. They have to get the HoH medal but they have to open 4 gates to get it. The other inmates will try to get the key of the locks. When the gong plays, the inmate that goes in the red box first will get the key and choose which contender should move closer to the medal. Ruby will be the referee of the game. The person who gets 4 keys from the inmates will become the winner and the captain.

Each round, a team will step forward and get hooked to a harness and hold onto a buzzer for an hour. The other teams will have to distract the team and make the playing housemates leave the buzzer. If the playing team makes it to the end of the hour, they win $5000 to add back to the prize money. If they lose, that $5000 will not be counted in the prize money. Keisha will be the supervisor of this task and she’ll make sure no one uses any physical violence to distract the playing team.

There will be three rounds, one pied piper will take 1 contender to the swimming pool and the pied piper will push them into the pool and explain why they are removed from captaincy contendership. The last housemate remaining will become the new Captain.

If the housemate completes the challenge,they  will get to choose category of ration which were, Vegetarian, Non-vegetarian, Vegan and Others. There will be six rounds. Housemates had to find a card and try to get as much ration as possible.

Moosa can’t take part in this task.

At the end, the housemate who hasn’t been covered in the black powder wins Ticket to Finale. Since Moosa was still receiving his punishment, he was not able to participate in this task. Controversies

Please note that the controversies mentioned below made headlines throughout the season and were extensively discussed and debated by the housemates, host, and audience. We would like to remind you that the events and characters described in this content are entirely fictional.

• On Day 20, Matei Sucu and Wadeed Ahmed got into a nasty physical fight over who was better at tennis. Many disgusting words were exchanged, and many punches were thrown. In retaliation, Big Brother ejected them both on the same day. Later on Day 23, Wadeed re-entered the house by the housemates votes.

• On Day 27, Wadeed Ahmed made crude remarks about the housemates, that angered Moosa Dara, leading the latter to say to “Be careful about what you say, be grateful that we let you back in the house.” Many housemates agreed with Moosa, however, Big Brother scolded Moosa for his words and reminded him that it was Big Brother’s choice to let Wadeed back in. Host Steven Lupton also addressed this issue on the weekend episode, where Moosa tried defending himself, but in vain. Consequently, Moosa had an emotional breakdown and isolated himself for 2 days in the house.

• On Day 31, Marina Green got into a verbal fight with Sara Bitar, where she also teared off the latter's shirt and made fun for the way she dressed. Many housemates were protesting to Big Brother to eject Marina Green. Sara requested Big Brother to call her into the confession room, broke down and urged to remove her from the show stating she can't stay in a house full of dirty people.

• On Day 36, Sidra Kabeer instigated a major altercation over the eviction of Ibrahim Dobia, claiming it was unfair and orchestrated by certain housemates. She accused Moosa Dara and Farida Fawzy of plotting Ibrahim’s eviction in advance. Sidra alleged, “Moosa contacted me before arriving here, wanting to fabricate a fake relationship angle with me, and now he's doing the same with her [Miriam].” Despite Moosa's persistent denial of these allegations, Sidra continued to provoke him. Following a reprimand from host Lupton, Sidra eventually confessed that her accusations were false, and both parties apologised to each other.

• On Day 57, Maryam Malik mixed handwash in a glass of water, and offered it to Sam Balsara to drink. Host Steven Lupton slammed Maryam for her actions. Maryam then apologised to Sam.

• On Day 62, a feud erupted between Sam and Moosa, fueled by accusations of betrayal and manipulation. Rumors circulated that Moosa had uncovered Sam’s secret plan to form alliances behind the scenes, leading to a bitter confrontation between the two. As tensions escalated, both contestants fiercely denied the allegations, each accusing the other of playing dirty to gain an advantage in the game. Host Steven Lupton intervened, demanding clarity and accountability, turning the spotlight on the simmering rivalry and its potential impact on the outcome of the competition.

• On Day 64, Moosa Dara and Sam Balsara engaged in a heated argument regarding Wadeed Ahmed’s eviction. Amidst a flurry of insults, Moosa's frustration boiled over, leading him to lash out by kicking a camera window, resulting in its breakage. As a consequence, all housemates, including the HoH, were nominated for eviction.
• On Day 71, during Week 10’s Captaincy Task, Farida accused Miriam of sabotaging her chances in a crucial competition, igniting a heated confrontation between the two housemates. • On Day 75, Sidra Kabeer took Ruby Rose McLaren's food without permission, sparking a confrontation between them. Sidra downplayed the incident, not seeing it as significant. However, Ruby became deeply upset, eventually breaking down in tears and withdrawing from the other housemates, feeling unfairly targeted. Sidra dismissed Ruby's reaction as overly dramatic, insinuating that her behavior was influenced by personal issues, specifically referencing Sam Balsara's situation.

• On Day 76, during the Ticket to Finale Task, tensions erupted between Moosa Dara and Sidra Kabeer, escalating into a heated exchange of insults and verbal abuse.
