Career
editBorn in 1967, Alexandrou turned professional in 1991. He did not make any significant progress in a tournament over the next six years, however, his furthest run in a ranking event being to the 5th qualifying round of the 1995 Welsh Open.
Having lost his place on the tour in 1997, Alexandrou successfully attempted to regain it for the following season; he finished that season ranked 272nd, a career best, but this was not enough for him to remain a professional, and he returned to the amateur ranks in 1999, aged 31.
Alexandrou failed to re-qualify for the tour in the following two seasons, and did not play at competitive level until entering the 2015 World Seniors Championship. There, he beat Peter Bardsley 2–1 before losing 0–2 to Dominic Dale.
Alexandrou also entered two qualifying tournaments at the end of the 2014/2015 season, but lost both of his matches.
