Langah History
Langah Caste is known as a an arabic from origin "The generation of Hazrat Hurr a.s , The famous warior of karbala and companion of Hazrat Imam Hussain a.s and It is claimed to be a Fifth Muslim nation which came in Sub-continent and ruled the state of Multan for approximately 100 years. the first King was Qutab-ud-din Khan Langah (Rai Sehra). Sultan Hussain Khan Langah's reign was most powerful and conquering which was then ended in the reign of Sultan Hussain Khan Langah 2nd who was so young that can't handle so big state and with conspiracy and insurgency of langar Khan who was later given the governance of Lahore as a reward. However in some areas of Pakistan it is known as jatt tribe and somwhere is as Baloch tribe. But its common surname is "KHAN" and "Sardar".
This caste is now found in all over the Pakistan, Mostly in seraiki belt of Punjab ,Sindh and Baluchistan. They are existing in upper Punjab also in tehsil bhowana , hafizabad, gojra, mandi Bahudin and Sialkot etc. Not only in Pakistan but they are residing also in Indian Punjab , Sucha singh langah is a famous personality of politics and Ex.Minister of Agriculture affiliated with AKKALI Dal party.
Barrister Taj Muhammad Langah (Late) was very popular leader and President of Langah tribe known as "Baba-E-Seraikistan" who has endowed his life for the Province of seraikistan for the identity of seraiki public and fought for the seraiki province till his death with the plateform of Pakistan Seraiki Party.
