Cassava root with coconut shreds on top
Coconut-milk-boiled cassava root - one of my childhood favorite for a chilly afternoon with my family. This is a specialty of the Cu Chi province in the Southern area of Vietnam.

As a Vietnamese international student who enjoys my homeland snack, this is how I will be able to eat this snack away from home:

Step 1: Book a Lyft/Uber heading to Cleveland Asia Food Company.

Step 2: Find cassava roots, coconut milk, coconut shred, and RAW peanuts (or sesame seeds).

Step 3: Lyft/Uber/walk back to Wooster, OH.

Step 4: Boil the cassava in coconut milk until soft. Meanwhile, roast the peanuts or sesame seeds in the oven until golden and tangy. Let them cool down then add sugar and salt for taste, that's the dip.

Step 5: Find a beautiful walking route or spot. Enjoy!

What a complicated process just to have a taste of home right. But worth it, isn't it?
