Tears are words that need to be written. You can be a genius of sadness, no choice but to immerse yourself in it, separating its numerous strands, appreciating its subtle nuances, and becoming a prism through which sadness could be divided into its infinite spectrum. It's a horrific thing, but the unfortunate minds like that are important, they have the burden of feeling the world's pain, the empathy and emotions that the criminals and the pigs in office lack. The last few that can really see the truth and called crazy are the resistance against the cybernetic future we're faced with. The most dangerous man, to any government, is the man who is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost invariably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable. I see all this potential, and I see squandering. God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don’t need. We’re the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War’s a spiritual war… our Great Depression is our lives. We’ve all been raised on television to believe that one day we’d all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won’t. And we’re slowly learning that fact. And we’re very, very pissed off.
