Wikipedia user Milosinawava lives in Missoula, Montana. Presently, I am working with the University of Montana Mansfield Library Archives and Special Collections on a Wikipedia project. The goal of the project is to better connect Wikipedia users with the resources of the Mansfield Library Archives and Special Collections, which house a wealth of archival materials for researchers across a wide scope of fields. The archives is especially strong in the History of the American West, but it also contains a host of collections outside of that scope. The University of Montana is also a member institution of the Northwest Digital Archives, which brings archives and museums together from all over the Northwest. In the spirit of the global and community oriented intellectual project that is Wikipedia, I hope to enrich the Wikipedia community by providing increased access to these valuable resources.

I also work with the Historical Museum at Fort Missoula. Presently, I am working with the curator to create a new exhibit concerning the Department of Justice Alien Detention Center, which Fort Missoula housed during World War II. The Department of Justice interned both Italians and Japanese "enemy aliens" at Fort Missoula during World War II. I am interested in spreading knowledge and encouraging dialogue about this period of American history via Wikipedia.

Finally, I am a graduate student at the University of Montana. Presently, I am working on my Master's Thesis examining the history of mechanized skiing in American national parks. I have a great interest in all things ski related.
