"I want to [...] talk about this notion of consensus and the rise of what has been called consensus science. I regard consensus science as an extremely pernicious development that ought to be stopped cold in its tracks. Historically, the claim of consensus has been the first refuge of scoundrels; it is a way to avoid debate by claiming that the matter is already settled. Whenever you hear the consensus of scientists agrees on something or other, reach for your wallet, because you're being had. [...]

Let's be clear: the work of science has nothing whatever to do with consensus. Consensus is the business of politics. Science, on the contrary, requires only one investigator who happens to be right. [...]

In science consensus is irrelevant. What is relevant is reproducible results. The greatest scientists in history are great precisely because they broke with the consensus. There is no such thing as consensus science. If it's consensus, it isn't science. If it's science, it isn't consensus."

About Milikguay edit

Milikguay hates to show "wiki barnstars" or medals and that stuff. He proudly wants to publish everything related to infractions he committed (specially when those infractions are not well based) trying to make Wikipedia (most likely, English Wikipedia) a more free, international and wide place. Wikipedia was a brilliant idea once. Nowadays, only some editors are available to make contributions and they, by free will, do what they want with every page, interpreting as they want the rules of Wikipedia, impeding other contributors to add important information.

So this editor will struggle with all he can trying to make Wikipedia a real "free encyclopedia". So if you need some support or help, let me know. I'll try to do my best

About Andrew D. Mandrioli, phD. edit

He has a degree in Chemical Engineering (University of Edinburgh) and post doctored in Biotechnology (University of Strasbourg) [citation needed]. He works nearby Edinburgh in a biotech factory[citation needed] and he is proudly an Embra. Lives in a flat next to his brother and sister. They are his best friends.

In his free times he listens classical music of Hector Berlioz, Richard Wagner, Sergei Rachmaninov, Ludwig van Beethoven among others and tries to reproduce them in his piano.[citation needed] He likes Rock n Roll also. Early in the mornings or, most likely at night, he contributes and struggles in Wikipedia.[citation needed] He finds quite funny arguing with people with agenda and without the balls to make themselves public.
