There used to be another User:Mike. That user has been renamed into User:Mike (usurped).

Hmmm...
Ok, here's how it is. I am known as "Mike" almost everywhere, and have so been since I started in wp in early 2004. That name was however taken in en:wp, so here I chose "Mikez" instead. When the SUL was finally rolled out, I asked to usurp the nick "Mike" as that user had made only a few dozen edits. I was informed that according to en policies, I would *not* get that nickname as the number of edits was too large. Ok, screw that, I don't write at en:wp too often anyway. I'll have to log in separately on en:wp in the future, but at least I could unify the accounts I was using actively. Good enough for me, so I canceled the request and went on to merge the rest.

Now someone did change the nickname of the former User:Mike into User:Mike (usurped). Without notifying me. So, the next time I arrived here, I suddenly had two nicknames, User:Mike and User:Mikez. Obviously, the last few edits I made here are under this account, and not my old one - I have obviously overlooked that I wasn't logged in as Mikez but as the SUL nick, Mike.

How on earth I'm supposed to get things right now, with two different user names, I don't know.

So, I hereby make it public that I and User:Mikez are one and the same user. I see no reason to log out and in everytime I arrive here, just in case I'd like to make the odd edit, so my contributions will hereafter be under this nick. Older contribs will still be visible under Special:Contributions/Mikez.
