Michael Hausenblas is a product lead at Amazon Web Services. Born and raised in Austria, since 2008 Michael lives in Galway, Ireland. He likes to read and write books and he studies 普通话. Michael’s an aspiring stoic.
At AWS he initially worked on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service and now he’s in the observability service team, working on Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus, Amazon Managed Grafana, and AWS Distro for OpenTelemetry (ADOT).
Before joining AWS in 03/2019 he held positions at Red Hat (working on OpenShift), Mesosphere (now: D2IQ), MapR (now part of HPE), and worked in applied research on symbolic AI for over a decade, most recently as a Research Fellow at the Digital Enterprise Research Institute (DERI).
