Peter Lincoln (born 15 March 1956)[1] is an British singer and musician, best known as the singer/bassist of Andy Scott's Sweet between 2006 and 2019, he is also the current frontman of Smokie, he also performs with Mick Wilson (10cc) and Peter Howarth (The Hollies) as FRONTM3N since 2016.[1]

Biography

Lincoln started playing guitar at an early age,[1]

Lincoln joined glam rock band Sailor in 1996,[2] replacing original frontman Georg Kajanus who had departed the previous year.[3]

He departed Sailor in 2006 to join The Sweet,[2] replacing Tony O'Hora. He stayed with the band until mid 2019.[4]

In 2010, he wrote a song for England in the World Cup.[5]

Lincoln joined Smokie in April 2021,[6] replacing long-time frontman Mike Craft.[7]

Lincoln is also a songwriter, and has worked with artists like Shakin’ Stevens, Cliff Richard and Tina Turner.[5]
