Daniel Fox is an American musician and technician, best known as current bassist and drummer of Dope, former percussionist of Mushroomhead and former drum tech and keyboardist of Marilyn Manson. He also played drums with Wednesday 13 in 2021 and 2022,[1] and Twiztid in 2024.[2]

Biography

Fox was originally a drum tech for Dope, he took over drum duties in September 2005 after regular drummer Racci Shay was forced to leave due to family issues.[3] He was later replaced by Ben Graves that October.[4]

In 2006, he joined Mushroomhead as water drummer and percussionist, playing on their 2010 album Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children. He left Mushroomhead in 2012.

Fox re-joined Dope in September 2013, joined alongside a new line-up also consisting of mainstay Edsel Dope (vocals, guitar), Nikk Dibs (guitar, keyboards) and Jerms Genske (bass).[5] He left Dope again in 2015.

Fox joined Marilyn Manson as drum tech, percussionist and keyboardist in 2015, he stopped performing with the band in 2017, but continued to be a tech.[6] In April 2018 he was arrested on possession of marijuana.[6]

Fox returned to Dope again in early 2017,[7] but was replaced by again in October by Chris Warner.[8][9] He returned to Dope in May 2019, and has remained with ever since.[10] This has included him switching to bass when required.[11]

Fox also currently plays drums for Twiztid,[2] and VentanA. He is a drum tech for Static-X.[12]
