Larry Sanger and Jimmy Wales will be forever in my gratitude for creating Wikipedia. When I was a child I loved to collect data; charts, pictures, article clippings, and anything I thought could later be useful as a reference. I spent a lot of time reading the Childcraft volumes, and as I grew older, The World Book Encyclopedia. Today I like to read through very old encyclopedias to see what people 80 to 100 years ago thought was encyclopedic information.

It is very important to me that Wikimedia projects continue to grow in usefulness. This means that every article has to have appropriate reference information, similar formatting to relevant articles, and maintain a neutral point of view. My favorite Wiki projects are Wikiversity, Wikispecies, and Wikipedia.

My love of encyclopedias may not be normal but since 2003 I have used Wikipedia, served as a minor editor, and financial contributor. Please help support Wikipedia and put your dollars to work in addition to your time.
