Variation
editIn Tunisia, geography plays a huge role in how Judeo-Tunisian Arabic varies between speakers.[1] Yehudit Henshke found that these variations of Tunisian Judeo-Arabic can be divided by certain regions of Tunisia and furthermore by dividing these variations by different towns in Tunisia. [2]
Phonology
edit[š] and [ğ] are realized as /ʂ/ and /ʐ/ if [q] is also in the word (however in Gabes this change only takes effect after [q])[3]
Among the people studying Judeo-Tunisian Arabic, Daniel Hagege listed a signifcant amount of Judeo-Tunisian Arabic newspapers from the early 1900's in his essay The Circulation of Tunisian Judeo-Arabic Books.[4]

editSeveral Hebrew proverbs and Sayings have been adapted into Judeo-Tunisian Arabic and these changes involve morphological and semantic changes.[5]
