Prima Hotels Israel is a chain of 14 hotels throughout Israel, brought together in 2002 in destinations including Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Eilat, Dead Sea, Tiberias, Raanana and Petah Tikva.


History

  • The Astor Hotel in 1964, was the Prima chain's first Hotel, yet this was not known for another few decades. [1] Later the Astor Hotel became the Hotel Prima Tel Aviv.
  • In 1987, the owners of the Astor bought the landmark Hotel, Prima Kings in Jerusalem, one of the oldest Hotels in Jerusalem, the Capital of Israel[2]
  • Moving south, the Prima Hotels Israel Chain's acquired the Carlton Hotel in Eilat in the same year as the Kings Hotel, 1987. Today, the Prima Carlton is now called the Hotel Prima Music, Eilat.
  • The next hotel added was the Tiberius hotel in the Galilee region.
  • The next hotel was the Prima Palace Hotel was bought in Jerusalem in 1999 in the Mea Shearim neighborhood in Jerusalem.
  • Six years later, the chain expanded to the Dead Sea, building the first Spa Hotel, the Hotel Spa Club, Dead Sea in the region in 2005, connecting the Hotel with the Oasis Hotel.
  • the Prima Hotels' acquired and renovated the Windmill Hotel,[4] which soon became the Hotel Prima Royale.
  • Seven years later, the Chain expanded; obtaining Park Hotel, and City Hotel which are now Hotel Prima Park in Jerusalem and Hotel Prima City, Tel Aviv.
