editIn the inaugural semester, when the first editing deadlines came for our Wikipedia project an average, less technical student would just become confused and frustrated, not understanding Wiki-Culture. Now we were invoking their sink or swim reactions immediately and in the paddling pool of project space. In fact it worked so well that one student actually didn’t realize that Wikipedia was not meant to be space of classwork. zx4611869 wrote
“I did not even know Wikipedia has this user customized webpage functions that allow for hosting classes.” At which point he continued to affirm the exact intended effact, “Although it was a little bit confusing at the beginning, the Wikipedia interface experience was definitely something exciting and innovative as I used it more and more often through homework assignments and article editing.”
