Hi. I'm just another guy who thinks the Wikipedia is a worthy and interesting project. I contribute occasionally, mostly because I am a compulsive copy editor, but now and then something substantive.

Having been born in 1938, I'm in the geezer category.

Degrees in physics and mathematics. Twenty years in the U. S. Army, travels in Europe, Mexico, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam. Shallow knowledge of and interest in a lot of things.

I lived in New Orleans for seven years, chased away by Katrina, returned after a ten month exile.

I recently (finally?) retired from full time employment, and returned to my birthplace, San Antonio, Texas. A year later, I have found seven Saturdays a week to be a bit monotonous, so I am now teaching mathematics part-time at a local community college.
