Kevin Noland (born July 16, 1971) is a visual artist active in film, photography, and mixed media painting. Noland currently lives in Spokane, WA.
Early Life
editNoland was born on July 16, 1971 on an Indian reservation near Yakima, WA. At the age of 4 he moved to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia with his family, where they remained until 1978.
Noland graduated in 1994 from The University of Washington where he earned a BA in Communication, after which he moved to Los Angeles to pursue filmmaking.
Career
editNoland's most notable work is writing, directing, and producing the film, Americano [1] released in 2005 with a generally positive reception [2][3]. Additionally, Noland owns Spirit Lake Pictures [4], an award winning production studio out of Spokane, WA.
In 1999, Noland started Spirit Lake Pictures to produce his screenplay that would become Americano. He developed a reputation of quality production in the advertising community while working on Americano, and has since won several awards in the pacific northwest and nationally, including the Gold Medal from the New York Festivals and 2 Emmys[5].
