Dr. Martin Magnuson at an American Ceramic Society Conference (ICACC'13), Daytona Beach in January 2013

Martin Magnuson, born 1965 in Uppsala, is a Swedish physicist active in materials science and spectroscopy using synchrotron radiation.

Magnuson graduated as a M.Sc. from Linköping University in 1992 after being a Technical Student at CERN, and got his Ph.D. in physics at Uppsala University in 1999. [1]. After being Post Doc at Univerité Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris 1999-2001 and completing a Master degree in International Business at Chalmers 2002-2003, he became Docent (Associate Prof.) at Uppsala University in 2005 and was a researcher and teacher. From 2008, he has been a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (IFM) at Linköping University. His research interests are MAX-phases, MXenes, amorphous carbides and wide band-gap nitrides.
