Markus Heitkoetter is a former IBM director who quit his job and moved from Germany to Austin, Texas in 2002. He became a full-time trader, and in 2005 founded Rockwell Trading in order to simplify the trading process and help as many traders as possible to achieve their trading goals. He is the author of the bestselling book "The Simple Strategy," a book that helps traders improve their trading with a simple, easy to use trading method.

Earlier Life

Markus Heitkoetter launched the company in Austin, Texas in 2005, several years after he relocated to the United States from his native Germany. He had quit his job as a Director at IBM in 2002 after a downturn in the economy, when IBM, like so many other tech giants, was laying off thousands of people. He had been trading stocks, futures, and other funds for many years, and trying out various strategies and systems to find what worked best for him.
