- Released 1.17!
- After what seemed like forever, we finally got 1.17 released. And there was much rejoicing.
- 1.18 Code Review and blocker bugs
- Code review of MediaWiki core began looking spectacular today. Our reviewers are really getting it going. It almost looks like we can make this a sustainable practice.
- Debian HipHop package
- I found the start to creating a Debian package for HipHop and took it farther. HipHop requires some patches to libcurl and libevent, but from a quick glance it looks like the patches shouldn't be a problem to integrate into their respective Debian packages if not upstream. I don't quite have a package built, but when I do, I'll post everything to my blog.
- Noticed SPQRobin was tearing up Bug #6100 (RTL fixes) and chatted with him.
- Somehow, when we were both in Berlin and he introduced himself to me there, I managed to forget meeting him. He quickly made himself memorable by making some real progress on the RTL work. By the time the Wikimania Hack-a-thon comes around we may have a really workable codebase for mixing up RTL and LTR scripts.
- Johannes Weberhofer reported a problem with MySQL cluster and the upgrade to MW 1.17
- Tim asked me to spend some time getting a backtrace, but, despite following the directions, I couldn't get a package built that had them. Tim managed to get a backtrace and updated the upstream bug. It is kind of surprising that a bug this easy to trigger is in production code.
