Global login not working as expected
editBefore I fell asleep I worked on Max Talmey article and perusing sources for facts in it through wikipedia library. I had some other edits open (new contents previewed, but not et completed and published) in wiktionary. Before I fell asleep I logged of of the library (for not holding a spot if concurent use of it is limited to specific number of users), but not from Wikipedia.
When I awoke some 6 hours later I reviewed Max Talmey article (and found it OK for now, and myself stil logged in WP). Then I returned to ee where I was at wiktionary edits and found myself not logged in. I refreshed some of the pages and global login still didn't kick in as it usually does.
I'm going out now and look into it again when I return. I'll also sign it as a quick way to documet time of the problem. Marjan Tomki SI (talk) 07:36, 14 February 2022 (UTC)
- Now I tried it again, and works as expected: I logged in in en:wikipedia here, and was logged in in sl:wiktionary and wikidata by global log in automatically, by opening or refreshing page there. Will document as much of circumstances of time and circumstances of both cases.
- In the case described abowe: processor and memory of MS Windows based comp were pretty heavily used (about 60% of RAM, around 3/4 or more processor average by graphic presentation on task manager, and internet browser response was sluggish. Today on same device memory a bit below half, and processor at around 15%, and all responses (unles recalculation of a complex/big spreadseet and alike is requested) good. I'll be on lookout on circumstqances if it happens again, and document cirucumstances if it happens. Marjan Tomki SI (talk) 15:23, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
