This website provides the background history behind the five Native American tribes that were pinned as the "Five Civilized Tribes" to collectively represent the Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek, and Seminole tribes. It explains where, when and from whom the term comes from in great detail. Furthermore, there is time-ordered history of the trajectory of events throughout; before the civil war, during the war, and after the war. It explains the loss of each of the tribes's territories, and the wars they had among the other tribes. It continues with their history, until 1907, and briefly lets the audience know that the five tribes still have a major presence today.
