Elcin Nkurenkuru High School (ENHS) is a government-aided private school run by ELCIN (Evangelic Lutheran Church In Namibia). The school is situated in the outskirts of Nkurenkuru town in Kavango region. It was established in 1990 by the Finnish missionaries for the Evangelical Lutheran church in Namibia(ELCIN). The location of the school was chosen by the kwangali chief Daniel Sitentu Mpasi.[1]

ABOUT

ENHS provide teaching from grade 8 up to grade 12, offering JSC, IGCSE and HIGCSE. The school has boys hostel and girls hostel separately, with the hostel parents helping the learners when they have problems. ENHS has a library with books containing relevant information needed by the learners to do their school work. There are also sport fields found in the school like, soccer field, netball pitch, volleyball and basketball pitch where learners does their sports and exercises to keep fit. In the school, there is also a vegetable garden where learners who are doing agriculture as a subject do their practical. They grow different vegetables like spinach, cabbage, tomatoes, maize, pumpkins and carrots. Elcin Nkurenkuru High School has a computer lab for the learners doing computer studies to do their practicals. There is also a physical science lab, biology lab and needle work lab for the learners doing those particular subjects. The school has a big hall where events like farewell parties, talent shows and parent meetings are held to accommodate everyone. The school has a school board to represent the parents, teachers and learners.[2] ENHS is also regarded as one of the best schools in Kavango Region.
