Hi,
I am a french newbie on Wikipedia. I heard about an article "Bogdanov affair" in english, I wanted to edit it because there are strong mistakes in it. In fact, the article is very partial against the Bogdanov brothers, one feels that it was written by people who do not like them and who want to give a very negative image of them. But what I wrote was refused because I have never edited on Wikipedia before. It is a strange "welcome" on Wikipedia !
That is what I wrote :
- Most pseudonyms purported physicists or mathematicians, defending the Bogdanovs' work, sometimes with irony against their critics (among them the Nobel prize recipient Georges Charpak, who had spoken ill of them on television). Generally speaking, the discussions in the forums became more and more agressive, and the Bogdanovs were often violently insulted by the participants, especially on the forums sur-la-toile.com (topics 1 and 2) and hardware.fr. Some of them decided to alert the mass media in order to make their reputation as bad as possible.
It was instead of :
- Most pseudonyms purported physicists or mathematicians, defending the Bogdanovs' work and sometimes insulting their critics (among them the Nobel prize recipient Georges Charpak). A few participants in these discussions responded in a similar manner, specifically accusing the Bogdanovs of evading scientific criticism, or lying about what they actually wrote or said.
