Internship with ICCS (June 2024-)

Since June 2024, I have been on an internship programme with the Interdisciplinary Centre for Conservation Science at the University of Oxford to examine and improve articles on Wikipedia that focus on biodiversity policy, such as biodiversity offsetting policies and no net loss policies. The project is set to end in August 2024. Please reach out (via my talk page or email) with questions or suggestions.
Project achievements

- Expansion of glossary of environmental science to include the terms biodiversity banking, biodiversity credit, biodiversity offset, no net loss, nature positive, mitigation hierarchy, and environmental impact assessment.
- Updated the section on 'Requirement to offset biodiversity' within the biodiversity offsetting article to reflect the global extent of policy requirements and terms used.
- Creation of a nature-positive article.
- Further expansion and development continues in my sandbox.
- Improvement of articles that focus on mitigation banking and no net loss wetlands policy in the United States
- Improvement of the biodiversity banking article
- Introduction of emerging biodiversity policy terms to Wiktionary
- Addition of an overall no net loss policy page to reflect its global extent beyond the United States
- Collaborate with other Wikipedians to ensure that any articles created are translated into other languages, and expand the language provision of existing policy articles
- Improve the categorisation of biodiversity pages and ensure links between pages
