HISTORY

About the College

As part of the American higher education system, CBT recognizes the value of career preparation as a principal goal of college education. In fact, we believe that technical training and academic preparation go hand-in-hand, and that a person whose background covers more than one area of expertise is a stronger candidate for a good job position. That is also why we strive to provide both the technical and educational facilities that support intensive sessions of study in small classes, to give students the best hands-on training.

Objective

The College of Business and Technology was founded in October 19th of 1988 by Dr. Fernando Llerena with the mission of providing high quality education programs that are in direct connection with the current job market.

Headquartered in Kendall, Florida, USA and with campuses in the cities of Hialeah, Flagler and Cutler Bay; the college has changed dramatically the lives of students of these communities by opening the door to innumerable opportunities through an education.

The College of Business and Technology is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) to award diploma and academic associate degrees. C.B.T. is also licensed by the Commission for Independent Education (CIE) and certified by the United States Department of Education. In addition; C.B.T. is under the regulation of the Florida′’s Statewide Numbering System which facilitates the transfer of courses between participating institutions.
