MALEK COMMUNITY :- (Malek Samaj)- મલૅક સમાજ-12 ગામ - The MALEK ( or Malek, મલૅક, was an Indian imperial power that ruled a large portion of the Gujarat,Indian subcontinent. It began in 1526, invaded and ruled most of India by the late 17th and early 18th centuries, and ended in the mid-19th century. Malek (Arabic: ملك) is an Arabic word meaning "king, chieftain". Malek (Urdu: ملک) is a clan of Muslim found primarily in Thasara, District of Kheda, Gujarat (India) and Pakistan. The Malek are spread all over India and Pakistan, unlike most in Gujarat, they live a Jamindar-like (Landloard) lifestyle. The Muslim Malek community is settled all over India,Pakistan and UK, mainly in the Gujarat province. The Malek are also known as the Jamindar or Bapu. They are descended from Gaznavi Empior and have been ferocious warriors in history, earning them the name Malek(leader). It has been adopted in various other, mainly Islamic or Arabic, Asian languages for their ruling princes and to render kings elsewhere. It is also sometimes used in derived meanings. Malek is one of the Names of Allah. The female version of Malek is Malikah (Arabic: ملكة) (or its Persian language equivalent Malekeh), meaning "queen" and also used as "BIBI".
