• Then attended South East Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri but dropped out after a year.
• A gifted musician, he grew up listening to the Delta Blues, artist such as Robert Johnson and Muddy Waters. Also fell in love with “The Beatles” … later on in his teenage years began studying rock bands such as Led Zeppelin and AC/DC

• Springer has also worked on many award winning motion picture soundtracks: Spiderman, Fast and Furious, Scream 3, The Horse Whisper, Heavy Metal 2000, MTV Road Rules, Hope Floats ect....... Co-wrote /Produced and Mixed “Heavens Creepin’ In” The Dead Rising (X-box360 game) Soundtrack and Motion Picture. Springer has also had many video game soundtrack placements as a writer/Producer: Madden, NHL Hockey, Toni Hawk ect……
• In the year 2000 he signed a deal with Island/Def Jam for his own Label/imprint. Lyor Cohen, co-founder of Def Jam, CEO Island/Def Jam records/Chairman Of Warner Music Group, sot out Springer because of his reputation at finding young rock bands and developing them to become successful artist. Springer’s peers at Island/ Def Jam were other Producers such as Rick Ruben and Glen Ballard.
• Springer’s song writing credits/co-writing credits are with artist such as “Full Devil Jacket”, Josh Brown, Greenwheel, Liquid Gang, Sinch, Spike 1000, Jonathan Montoya (Syliva), and Scotty Austin (Saving Able). Song arrangement credits include everyone from “Fear Factory”, Saliva, and Tantric ECT………
• Worked for SSL in 1991 installing the first moving fader automation system on the Solid State Logic Consoles, “Altimation”. Chief Engineer at Beale St. Studio’s 1992 then Became “Chief Engineer” of House Of Blues Studio’s in 1993-1996. Staff Engineer at Ocean Way Nashville 1995-96. Worked for Producer Peter Collins as his assistant engineer and Production Coordinator from 1995-1997.

Is the father of 4 boys, “Malcolm Springer the 2nd”, Isaac Collins Springer, Korbin Jude Springer and Kollin Ray Springer.
Malcolm is the Grandson of the late Orsville Mackie Springer the 1st, a successful farmer from Missouri.
