Mmmph!, published by the author known as Ryan C., is an adult webcomic focusing on the BDSM subculture. The author's target audience are members of the BDSM and kink communities. The webcomic, and blog, first launched on February 12, 2011, and published only 11 comics before the author placed the webcomic on hiatus. After 16 weeks, the webcomic again, began to see regular comic updates.
The art style of Mmmph! is virtually non-existent, using only stick-figures and, more often than not, null backgrounds. The author has stated that the reason for this is because:
- He has no artistic ability
- He believes that too much artwork would dilute the humor.[1]
