Game idea
Two teams battle each other. Derse vs Prospit.
Summon historical figures to fight each other. Get a DYK hook for an article card. DYK hooks from new GAs are worth extra.
Players get free DYK & GA reviews.
Types of article cards:
- Fighter cards (no BLPs)
- Location cards
- Artifact cards
- Weapon cards
- Equipment cards
- Event cards
- Effect cards
- Reference cards
Deck needs 30 cards. Fighter cards can be from mythology, fictional characters, game pieces, or historical figures. Fighters based on real people that are not men are given 2x power. Location cards can be historical places or current locations.
Cards will be assigned descriptions and statistics by the game master before play. Stats will be assigned using a formula which will be kept secret to prevent WP:GAMING (ironic, I know).
Players start with 1 "reference" each. Unused references are discarded. Each turn, they gain a new reference to spend. Player 2 has access to the Wikipedia Library which can be used once per turn to gain an extra reference (up to 3 times).
Players start by drawing 5 cards. At the start of their turn, they draw a card. They may spend one unused reference to draw an extra card at the end of their turn. If the player runs out of cards to draw, they recycle their discarded/deleted cards for a new deck.
