Born in Northern Ontario during the mid seventies, Mette now lives on an island in the PNW. She is a graduate student who is mapping her way back into the woods of her childhood. She loves birding, reading a wide variety of texts (some of her favourite authors are Sedaris, Melville, Morrison, García Márquez, Smart, Ferantte, Pessoa - just a few that pop up in her mind now while drafting this) but she does love myths, legends and monsters too. She is currently writing a set of children's books that teach children the hobby of birding. In her spare time she helps with the MyNDIR project.
