Moss Turtle is a concrete/moss public art sculpture in Seattle that was designed by Michiko Tanaka and fabricated by Mach 2 Arts.[1]
It was fabricated in 2020 and the installation completed in 2021. It is located east of Troll's Knoll Park in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood.
Tanaka said in an interview that her approach for the sculpture was inspired by a Moss Buddha she saw in Japan. Moss Turtle was dedicated on April 22, 2021 (Earth Day).
