Not wanting to let go of her dream of modeling, she went to the county’s clerk’s office in May 2015 to officially do paperwork to form the first transgender modeling agency in New York City. Her goal is to help, promote, and change America’s understanding of gender identity. Di is not the only one to own and operate a transgender-modeling agency in the United States, because of Di two other transgender modeling agencies currently operate in the United States: Transcendence Icon in Boise, Idaho, and the Los Angeles branch of Thailand’s Apple Model Management. With her agency, Peche Di has scouted 10 men and 9 women through instagram and has successfully featured them in magazines such as I-D and Time Out. In one year, she became successful like other companies such as H&M and IMG and eventually those companies decided to cast transgender models for their campaigns. Currently Peche Di is planning an all transgender fashion show for New York Fashion Week in February 2016. Di is also planning for a company that will be something as an outlet for transgender models with a TV channel and a slew of other subsidiaries. She plans to have have an official Trans Model launch party, slated to take place next month.
