Riyoko Takagi (unique and talented independent female Japanese Jazz pianist, composer, bandleader) - I'm just a fan and have no close ties with the artist; however, I deeply researched her because of her unique musical talent deeply rooted in improvisation. In the process of following her I also discovered other amazing Japanese Jazz fusion bands like T-Square, Casiopea, and others because she performed with members of those bands.

Women in jazz and Women in music are an under-represented minority.[1] Instead of spinning the wheels arguing back-and-forth on existing articles, why don't you discover a talented under-represented female artist yourself, research her, and ensure that she's well-represented not just on Wikipedia but in other relevant places as well. That's exactly what I did with Riyoko Takagi.
