Who I Am edit
I am Lóre Stevens aka @MestizaMetaphor, a queer millennial mixed-race Chicana from Knoxville, TN, USA. I hold a Bachelor's in Literature and a Master's in Gender Studies. I have worked as a Public Technology Specialist at the Nashville Public Library. In 2022, I graduated from Harvard Divinity School with a Master of Divinity. I am a credentialed Unitarian Universalist minister.
Wikipedia focus area edit
The area of Wikipedia I feel most drawn to is creating and improving articles for science fiction books by women and other marginalized people. When The Fifth Season was given the Hugo Award in 2016 (the first for a black and female author), I was appalled to see that its article was basically a stub, even with such notoriety. I see this as symptomatic of Wikipedia's lack of female editors.
Since then, I've worked on pages like The Girl with All the Gifts, The Power, Severance, and the Terra Ignota quartet.
