My name is Lynette, and I am a PhD student and graduate assistant in Literature at the University of South Florida. I am interested in British literature primarily, but I enjoy a variety of literary periods within that very broad category: the Old English of Beowulf and Canterbury Tales, the Medieval of Shakespeare and Milton, the 18th century Gothic of Radcliffe and Shelley, the 19th century Victorian of Dickens and Austen and the Brontes. I have been teaching composition at various collleges for eight years, and I am hoping to move on after I earn my PhD to become a tenured professor of literature or possibly of theater or film.

I am married to the love of my life, Nizami. I am the proud mother of five children and a stepson. My oldest daughter just got married and is graduating from Penn State this December, and my son just started as a freshman here at USF; I also have a 10-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old stepson, a 2-year-old daughter, and a 4-month-old baby girl. I have a very busy life, but I absolutely love it!

My bucket list goals include traveling to England and Russia (where my husband is from) and competing on Jeopardy. I enjoy working out at the gym and spending time with my family, especially anything outdoors (the beach, kayaking, jet skiing, hiking, bike riding, theme parks). I am an old-school video gamer, and I consider myself the Ms. Pacman Queen. And I love being involved with my church where I have been a youth leader and drama director for over 20 years.
