Liz Neely is a passionate advocate for how creativity and ‘making’ empower and enrich our lives. As an established museum professional, she is focused on developing innovative learning experiences. In 2014, she led a grant investigating the incorporation of 3D printing in museum public programs. She has designed and facilitated workshops on 3D printing, fashion and technology, electronics and the development of makerspaces.

Liz currently serves as the Curator of Collections and Exhibitions at the Harwood Museum of Art of the University of New Mexico in Taos, NM. She consults with museums and arts organizations on digital and learning innovation. Before moving to the southwest, she was the Director of Digital Experience and Access at the Art Institute of Chicago.

Recently Liz was the keynote speaker for the NMC summer conference and in 2013 she presented a TEDx talk called “Inventing Fabulation” on her philosophy of how making ridiculous things can re-make our world. Liz served as the 2015 president of MCN, an organization advancing digital transformation in the cultural sector, and serves on the NMC Board. She has an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s esteemed Kellogg School of Management.
